Directed by one of the most acclaimed anime movie director Mamoru Hosoda Mirai from the future tells the adventurous story of a 4 year old boy who accidentally travelled through time. Confused by the addition of his sister to the family, the boy goes back in time and meets his mother when she was still a teenage girl. Through a series of adventurous events the boy gradually grow up with different perspectives.

Mamoru Hosoda has directed a number of touching anime depicting the different relationships between friends, mother and children in the likes of Summer Wars and Wolf Children. It's been 3 years since Mamoru Hosoda's last work "The Boy and the Beast", "Mirai from the Future" is the latest anime and is definitely hugely anticipated by the fans.
